Dallas Screen Company, 1905
If your product is screen doors and windows, it’s all you need.
A few products pictured with variations, done well. Screen Doors. In Dallas. Call it the Dallas Screen Company. This may well be the only copy of this early (1905) little (3″ x 5″) catalog in existence.
After all, what can you say about screen doors? “That’s about as funny as a screen door on a submarine” was the only quip I recall from my youth. But in turn-of-the-last-century Texas, the summers were hot, the bugs were many, and practical air conditioning was decades away.
So sell screen doors, and be proud of it! Good enough that the very downtown building of which the company was a tenant used Dallas Screen’s products on it’s own entrances and windows. Serviceable, solid, and sturdy. During a boiling Texas summer, it’s an absolute essential.
